SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Chosing vintage isn’t just a style choice — it’s a sustainable act.

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world. Every year it generates:
-over 92 million tons of textile waste,
-nearly 10% of global CO₂ emissions,
-more than 93 billion cubic meters of water consumption,
-around 35% of ocean microplastics, released from synthetic fibers like polyester,
-exploitation of millions of underpaid garment workers, mostly women, often in unsafe and abusive conditions.
A single T-shirt can require 2,700 liters of water to be produced. And most clothes are worn just a few times before being thrown away.*

Every pre-loved garment helps avoid new production, reduce textile waste, celebrate past craftsmanship, fight against fast fashion and support circular economy.

We are aiming to be as sustainable of a business as possible. We handpick garments destined to landfills, most of our stock is collected at charity markets where all the profit goes to helping the people in need of the local communities, or to missionary projects in developing countries. We wash them with biodegradable eco-friendly detergents and energy saving cycles, we try to air-dry most of our items. We minimize packaging and prioritize recycled or recyclable materials.
In store we have metal hangers to avoid plastic, we use recycled paper bags and recycled paper price tags.
Most of the items that we are not able to save or fix, we keep to be reworked or to use as scrap material for original pieces made from scratch.

ACCESIBILITY

Sustainability is not just about the environment.
Truly sustainable fashion must also be inclusive and accessible
We are committed to making our website and stores accessible to everyone.
We picked the location for our store specifically to be inclusive, with a step-free entrance fully street-level, and as we renovated it we made sure to add a spacious fitting room accessible for wheelchair users with low-hanging hooks inside (approx. 1m from the ground).
Accessibility is an ongoing journey for us.
If you experience any difficulties or have suggestions, contact us.
We’re always happy to hear from you and keep improving.

INCLUSIVITY

We welcome all people in our store — no labels, no judgement.
We believe fashion is a form of free self-expression, and every piece can be worn by anyone who connects with it, regardless of gender.
That’s why we don’t use traditional “men” or “women” categories. Instead, we organize our collections by masculine fit and feminine fit, to guide you based on shape — not identity.
We are proudly a safe, queer-friendly, open and respectful space.
